Toasty Study Calendar — Privacy Notice

Toasty Study Calendar is a Twitch Extension for co-working streams. Viewers can add entries to a shared calendar, keep a short task list, and follow a focus timer. This notice explains exactly what it stores. It is short because the extension collects very little.
What we store
- The calendar entries you add — a date, the text you typed, and a colour.
- The tasks you add — the text you typed, and whether it is done.
- An anonymous ID that Twitch gives us for you (an “opaque ID”). It identifies you only within one channel and cannot be used to look you up on Twitch.
- Your Twitch display name, but only if you chose to link your account — see below.
- A count of tasks you have completed on that channel.
What we do not collect
- No email address, no password, no payment details — we never ask and never receive them.
- No tracking across websites. No advertising. No analytics scripts of any kind.
- No data is sold, rented, or shared with anyone.
Linking your Twitch account is optional
The extension may offer a 🔗 button to link your account. It is entirely optional and does two things: entries you add in the panel and with chat commands join into one list, and your name appears instead of “someone”.
If you link, the extension asks Twitch’s own API what your display name is, using the numeric ID Twitch gives it. Nothing is sent to anyone outside Twitch, and your numeric ID is never shown to other viewers. If you decline, everything still works — you simply appear as “someone”, and your chat entries stay a separate list.
Chat messages
The extension reads the channel’s public chat to spot commands such as
!caladd, !taskadd and !taskdone. Only messages that begin
with a command are stored, and only the text of that command. Ordinary conversation is read,
matched against the command list, and discarded.
Who can see your entries
Anyone watching that channel while the extension is active — a shared calendar is the point of it. The broadcaster and their moderators can remove any entry at any time and can block a viewer from adding more. You can always delete your own entries yourself.
How long it is kept — plainly
Nothing is deleted on a timer. Calendar entries stay until someone removes them, because they are plans for future dates and deleting them would be the bug, not the feature. Tasks are displayed on the board for 24 hours, but the record is kept so completion counts stay correct.
Everything is deleted when you ask, and a broadcaster can have their whole channel’s data erased on request. Email the address below.
Where it is stored
On a private server in the European Union, reachable only over HTTPS. It is not shared with any third party. The extension embeds no third-party service; the only outside request the server makes is to Twitch’s own API, to turn a linked account’s ID into a display name.
Children
The extension is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
